The smallest bird in the world is the Cuban Bee hummingbird, also known as the Helena's hummingbird. It measures 2 ¼ inches in length from bill tip to tail.

Budgies, canaries and other aviary birds make easy pets to keep,
whilst providing great companionship for the owner.
In order to keep your birds happy and healthy follow the steps below:
1. Feed a good diet of a suitable bird seed mix, grit and fresh fruit and
vegetables.
2. Provide a safe and warm cage, away from draughts and predators.
3. Watch out for feather plucking and self nibbling and treat as
appropriate.
4. Practise good hygiene for your bird and its cage.
5. Veterinary check-ups and vaccinations as appropriate.
6. Always wash your hands after handling your bird. |
